The team
at the CONCEPTIA Clinic is composed of health professionals under the
general direction of Dr. Alfred Robichaud.

Dr. Robichaud obtained his medical degree in 1973 from “Université Laval” in Quebec and completed his speciality in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Dalhousie University, Halifax, in 1977. He has since dedicated a great portion of his career to fertility treatments, founding the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital's Fertility Clinic in 1988 and then establishing the CONCEPTIA Clinic in 2000.
As a fertility specialist, Dr. Robichaud remains on the leading edge of reproduction sciences and technology, a rapidly evolving sector. He is a member of the Canadian Society of Fertility and Andrology and The American Society of Reproductive Medicine. He also obtained a video laparoscopy laser surgery certificate and operative hysteroscopy certificate from Memorial Hospital, Florida, US.

Dr. Sylvie Nadeau is a 1991 medical graduate of “Université Laval”, Quebec, where she was also certified as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1996. She has been associated with the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital since then.
Active member of the CONCEPTIA Clinic team since 2000, Dr. Nadeau is increasingly involved in fertility issues and research projects, regularly participating in national and international conferences.
She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Physicians of New Brunswick. Also, she is a member of the Canadian Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, the Canadian Society of Fertility and Andrology and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Caroline Rivet is a 1995 Graduate of “Université de Montréal” Medical School where she was also certified as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2000. She has been associated with the Dr. Georges –L. Dumont Regional Hospital since 2003.
Active Member of the CONCEPTIA Clinic team since 2003, Dr. Caroline Rivet is involved in all aspects of the programs and has a special interest in high risk pregnancies.
Dr Rivet is a member of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC), of the “Association des médecins de langue Française du Canada (AMLFC)”, the New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Nathalie McLaughlin obtained her Medical degree from the University of Montreal in 2000 where she also completed, in 2005, her specialty in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She has been affiliated with the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital since May 2006.
Active member of the CONCEPTIA Clinic team since 2006, Dr. McLaughlin is specialized in General Obstetrics & Gynaecology, in fertility, in high-risk pregnancies and family planning.
Dr. McLaughlin is a member of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist of Canada (SOGC), the « Association des médecins de langue française du Canada » (AMLFC), New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Paul J. Andresen,

Paul began his career in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) in 1982, and became one of the youngest Embryologist/Laboratory Directors in the US. He has been an ABB (American Board of Bioanalysis) Board Certified Embryology Laboratory Director (ELD) since 2000 (inaugural year of offering). In States such as Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan, Paul has become a very well known and respected Embryologist in the fertility world. His experience covers the range of current ART procedures, including Intracyctoplamic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Assisted Hatching (AH), Blastocyst, elective single embryo transfer (eSet), and vitrification. The laboratories in which he has participated have always produced excellent success rates.
Paul began successfully performing micromanipulation techniques in 1988 and ICSI in 1992. He has served as a laboratory inspector for the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in the US.
He takes great pride in establishing a relationship with patients and endeavors to be both approachable and accessible to them.

Julie Mercier

Julie Mercier obtained a Bachelor Degree in Nursing in 1990 at the Université Laval of Sainte-Foy, Quebec, as well as a Community Health Certificate in 1993. With a continuous need for learning, she also attended many administrative and management courses. For the first 7 years of her practice, she provided care in different hospital settings in Quebec City and then moved to New-Brunswick to pursue her career in private care. She has participated in the inception of two new medical clinics, and finally joined the Conceptia team in April 2004.
Julie is a member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) and their standards nursing committee whose mission is to develop a standard of care in order to ensure high quality and safe health care practices within Canadian ART Clinics. She is the resource person who supervises the operations of the Conceptia Clinic with the objective to ensure personalized care adapted to patients needs.

 M. Jean Pereira
Psychologist

Mr. Jean Pereira has obtained his Master's Degree in psychology from the “Université de Moncton” in 1975 and had been affiliated with the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital until recently. At the same time, Mr. Pereira has also been practicing in a private clinic for over twenty years, and has decided to finally dedicate all his time to it. Mr. Pereira is a member of the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick.
His background in the health sector naturally carried him to be interested in various aspects connected to infertility issues and the alternatives offered to those who wish to become parents. He keeps abreast on the important progressions of Assisted Reproductive Technologies which have created opportunities that must be the subject of reflection regarding the implications for the parents and the children involved.
Mr. Pereira has been involved with the CONCEPTIA Clinic team since 2003 as a consultant to individuals and infertile couples, helping them in the decision-making process regarding all the various reproduction options and providing psychological support.
